Save money, stay toasty this winter!
Get thousands of dollars in rebates on qualifying energy-saving measures!
Greater Grays Harbor Energy is a new program that can save you thousands of dollars – first when you do energy upgrades at your home or business, and then the rest of the year when you use less electricity! We make it easy to save money!
1) Sign up for a HomePLUS advanced energy audit. This audit, conducted by the Grays Harbor PUD, shows where you are losing heat with thermal cameras. We can help you schedule your HomePLUS audit.
Download a sample EPS Scorecard Energy Analysis Report.
2) When you receive a list of possible energy upgrades, we can connect you with local contractors who are approved by the PUD. They will help you with rebate forms so you pay substantially less when you get insulation, new windows, or other upgrades.

“I had about $8,000 worth of lighting upgrades done, and I received $3,000 in rebates. The energy savings are $150 to $200 a month, and the new lights are brighter. That’s better for my work space and my customers really like it.”
“The HomePlus Audit was simple, thorough, and homeowner friendly. I did it to save on both PUD and Cascade Natural Gas bills, and I would definitely recommend it to other homeowners! You will get money back just by doing small measures. It is well worth it, and it costs more money to do this somewhere else, and it is absolutely no hardship on the homeowner.”
Rebecca Watters, Montesano
"I’m always looking for opportunities to improve quality of my properties for my renters. The audit and the upgrades make my properties more marketable. I went to GGHE and they took care of the details! I was inspired by incentives to move forward with weatherization and other upgrades. If I could give advice to others in my situation, that would be to call now to set up their energy audit!"
“This audit had tremendous value to us. Our auditor took the time to explain everything and we learned a lot about our home and how to improve energy costs, energy performance, and comfort.”
Amanda Lee, Ocean Shores, WA
“My HomePLUS audit was very educational and helpful. I highly recommend it.”
Barbara Aue, Westport, WA.
“Thank you so much for the rapid arrival of our rebate. I was expecting to have to wait another month or so. In fact, thank you so much for everything you did to aid us in our insulation project. We can already tell what a difference it has made in the comfort of our home.”
"My house felt drafty this winter, I felt that the gas log wasn’t giving off enough heat and that I had to keep turning up the thermostat. I try to be responsible about using energy and keep thermostat down. My wife and I wore sweaters most of the time and try not to use the heat as much. I found out that I had a leaky house when my home was audited. The scorecard was like an MPG rating for my house, and GGHE’s follow-up made things easy. I was looking for a reason to replace my doors but I found out that I could just use weather stripping to seal them. I figured I would take advantage of rebates since I wanted to become more “green” – I will have a contractor put in insulation and do duct sealing, but there are some air sealing measures I can do myself."
"GGHE did everything but fill out the application for me. I enjoyed talking with GGHE about rebates. I also enjoyed the infrared camera that Dan, the energy auditor, brought. He could tell where the roof ended and where I was missing insulation. Go for it! Get some of those tax dollars back! You have to spend some money to get some money back but if you are in a position to make some improvements do it. Even though we are not feeling the weather so much it is the time to weatherize your home and make your home work for you and save you money."
"The audit exceeded my expectations! I was interested in the performance of my home. I wanted to gamble $95 to make sure not wasting 100’s of dollars per month on my bill. I enjoyed quantifying the actual energy loss in the house as well as learning about the piece of failing insulation. But I enjoyed quantifying the performance of the house most of all. The follow-up with GGHE was particularly helpful. It gives me piece of mind knowing we can improve its efficiency further by upgrading to a heat pump water heater, changing from incandescent light bulbs to CFLs, etc and that these will offset my energy bills. This is also something that I can show to prospective home buyers to show them that my home is operating at maximum efficiency. I would encourage anyone to get an audit to ensure their house is operating as intended, similar to maintaining your car."
“I was very impressed by the Grays Harbor PUD technician’s competency and professionalism. I particularly found it informative to see on his instrument where there was air infiltration in my house.”
Jeff C., Aberdeen, WA.
“It was very insightful to create a vacuum in the house and then see cold air leakage with infrared viewer. The entire HomePLUS audit team was very helpful!”
Duane Murphy, Aberdeen, WA.
