WHITE PAPER
ADDENDUM TO THE GOVERNMENT POLICY OBJECTIVES VII
2005 – 2006
INFRUSTUCTURE
ENERGY
The Grays Harbor Chamber of Commerce supports the creation of a long-term energy plan for increased generation and transmission. There is a critical need to expand energy production and diversify to include gas turbines, wind, wave and other power sources. The development, and use of alternative energy sources; including, but not limited to, Biomass, and Bio-Diesel is particularly important.
The Grays Harbor Chamber of Commerce urges elected officials to provide full tax credits and other incentives to businesses that develop, generate, and/or use an alternative energy source, such as Biomass and Bio-Diesel.
TRANSPORTATION
Support the Grays Harbor Navigational improvement Project to deepen to the fully authorized depth.
We ask the legislature to enhance the Railroad Interchange at Centralia for current and future rail traffic.
